How I Work

My Approach
Every client is unique, bringing their own experiences, challenges, and goals. I take a personalized approach, crafting treatment plans aligning with each person’s needs. Through collaboration, we ensure therapy supports their aspirations and personal growth.
My dedication to continuous learning has led to extensive training in diverse therapeutic modalities. This allows me to select the most effective techniques for each client, enhancing the impact of our work together.
I use parts work to help clients understand and integrate different aspects of themselves, fostering self-awareness, self-acceptance, and compassion.
I am trained in evidence-based behavioral therapies such as
Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT) teaches skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to identify and reframe negative thought patterns to promote healthier behaviors.
I specialize in trauma-focused modalities designed to support healing and resilience:
Brainspotting: Identifies and processes trauma at a deep neurological level.
Trauma Resiliency Model: Builds coping mechanisms to enhance emotional resilience.
Post Induction Therapy: Focuses on healing childhood trauma and addressing dysfunctional family dynamics.
I also incorporate mindfulness-based approaches, including the Mindful Self-Compassion program, to help clients develop self-kindness and present-moment awareness—key components of emotional healing and personal growth.

From the Creator of Brainspotting
Brainspotting has been found to be an effective treatment for trauma, unprocessed grief, anxiety, depression, compulsive and addictive behaviors, physical pain, and low self-esteem.
This interview with the creator of Brainspotting, Dr. David Grand, also includes Dr. Grand in session with former New York Mets catcher, Mackey Stasser.
Do negative thoughts keep you from moving forward?
You are stuck. It feels awful, frustrating, and confusing.
Maybe you know why? Perhaps it was an accident, a traumatic childhood event, or childhood in general.
Maybe you don’t know why. You just know that you don’t follow through on your goals, you have an unhealthy pattern in relationships, or you feel like you are never good enough.
Time to focus on the positive side of life.
I am a certified Brainspotting therapist, and I offer this treatment both in person and via telehealth.
